At The Power House in Washington, Indiana, we aim to reach at-risk teens with the love of Christ through caring adults. We offer positive alternatives to negative behaviors and seek to impact the future of our community by changing lives; one at a time.
Our facility is conveniently located in a restored two story home near the Washington Jr. High and Washington High School. We serve an average of 50 students in grades 7-12 each weekday. We have a skate park, basketball court, beach volleyball court, and large deck outside our building. Inside we have a kitchen, dining room, and living room area. We have a game room with pool and ping pong, weight-lifting/exercise room, music room with drums, guitars, a keyboard, and PA system, a bike shop for restoring and customizing bikes, wood shop, and soon we will have a set-up for screen printing. We provide a warm meal every evening through the week. We also have a pancake breakfast on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Power House staff and volunteers are available for student's needs and positive relationships. |
